Our mission is to streamline plant engineering to increase the productivity of and creative freedom of plant designers.
PlantStream is a small remote team that started in September 2020. After the success of our alpha and beta deliveries, we are now looking to expand the team. We are looking for an entrepreneurial minded, tech-oriented candidates.
Product Sales Manager — North America
Full-time contractor position
Overview
You will be working fully-remote as a full-time independent contractor, reporting directly to our Tokyo office. Eventually you will go on to build, and lead the sales team for our North American operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales process including strategy development, proposal generation, negotiations and close
- Understand the release updates and prepare product demo including technical FAQ
- Build, maintain and grow our opportunity pipeline through inbound and outbound sales
- Develop and execute strategic account plans and provide accurate forecasts
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and new targets
- Meet quarterly and annual targets
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in enterprise software sales in the US or UK
- Passion for technology
- Strong sense of ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the plant engineering industry (oil & gas, petrochemical, water Management etc.)
- Background in CAD
- Being able to speak Japanese would be a benefit, but not necessary
Technical Account Manager: Plant Design Specialist — Japan
Full-time position
Overview
You are an entrepreneurial minded, tech-oriented, industry expert, who can help customers deploy PlantStream into their existing company workflow. You are living and working in Japan, willing to join an exciting and nimble remote team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the sales team and help customers understand what PlantStream can do to solve their problems and build strategy for closing business
- Work closely with the customer success team and help onboarding activities, product evaluation, periodic review of use of PlantStream
- Share the industry knowledge and best practices of piping engineering with the teams
- Conduct design work by yourself and lead customer’s “pilot” evaluation projects
- Understand customers’ workflows and technical requirements and build “trusted advisor” relationships
- Help customers properly import and export project data in their customized environment with necessary data mapping
- Help customers establish workflows that leverage PlantStream together with other resources to develop solutions that satisfy technical, fiscal and schedule constraints within the customers business
Minimum Qualifications
- Plant design experience using PDMS or SP3D in EPC projects
- Understanding of plant engineering documentation including P&ID, Plot Plan etc.
- Business level in both English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent)
- Passion for technology
- Strong sense of ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technical account management
- Experience in software customer success/support
Customer Success Manager — Japan
Overview
You are an entrepreneurial minded, tech-oriented candidate, who can make our customers happy in a fully-remote environment and eventually build and lead the Customer Service team in the company. You are living and working in Japan, willing to join an exciting and nimble remote team.
Responsibilities
- Design, improve and lead onboarding activities including remote training and trials
- Build and maintain relationships with all key customer contacts
- Be the customer’s voice and provide feedback to internal teams
- Maintain and drive retention goals
- Understand product updates and reflect those in customer manual and technical FAQ
- Assist customers in understanding future roadmaps and in upgrade planning
- Identify new sales opportunities through customer engagements
- Assess customers and to maximize customer satisfaction and product revenue
- Manage product update release cycle and license deployment
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in enterprise software customer success/support
- Business level in both English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent)
- Passion for technology
- Strong sense of ownership
- Must be living in Japan
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in the plant engineering industry (oil & gas, petrochemical, water treatment etc.)
- Background in CAD
